As the department of Culture and Tourism, on behalf of the Ayuntamiento of Alhama de Granada, we invite you to attend the first gathering of the Resident International Community in Alhama de Granada, which will take place on November 29th, 2015.
The purpose of this meeting is to strengthen ties and enhance the presence of the international community in the activities that are held at the Ayuntamiento, inviting you to share everything that takes place in our town as resident neighbours.
In recent years the number of people from other countries has increased in our city, either becoming permanent residents or visiting during seasonal periods. You enrich our culture, customs and bring new traditions to us.
The very origin of the jameña gastronomy is the result of knowledge and flavours of the ancient inhabitants of the lands of Alhama who were adapting their palate to raw materials offered by the land and which has evolved to the present day. This event is intended to include all those who wish to participate in this multicultural society and it seemed interesting to approach it through two universal concepts, gastronomy and sport, for all that we designed the following programme of activities.
Programmed activities planned for the day november 29, 2015
11.00.- International football match. (Category over 40 years of age and under 40 years).
13.00.- Arrival of participants in Gastronomy contest . (Preparation of a dish)
14:30.- Meal offered by the city of Alhama de Granada.
Those interested can register at the Municipal Tourist Information Office, indicating whether you want to participate in the food competition (in the cooking of a dish) or in the football match in the category of over 40 years of age and under 40 years.
